Negative taken for March 17, 1963, Arkansas Gazette article "Progress on the Upstream Arkansas," E5:2. The United States Corps of Engineers is constructing Eufaula Dam on the Canadian River is thirty five miles south of Muskogee, Muskogee County, Oklahoma, and fifty miles west of Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. It is of concrete, steel, and earth construction. When it is completed it will provide flood control, generate electric power, create recreational resources, and other services.
